Wrecking him, huh?

A week or two ago I made a diary asking why we weren't wrecking John McCain.

This diary was responded to with the diary of another MyDD user, who did a great job outlining the way we WERE in fact "wrecking" him. I thought it was a good diary.

Until Obama has shown himself to ever...so....slowly....decline....in... every..way..possible.

"Polls mean nothing."

Bullshit.  This is 2008, last year of the worst president in modern history, and he happens to be a Republican. If you're a Democratic Presidential Nominee and you're BEHIND IN THE POLLS, after being AHEAD---THERE IS A PROBLEM.

So I'm a troll because I'm "concerned?"

Sorry Obamafans, I'm not concerned because I love Obama so much, or because I love John Mccain so much and want to see him win by saying Obama will lose.

Here's a short list of things that concern me:

1. The wellbeing of myself, my wife, my kids, my grandkids--in any order.

2. The wellbeing of all of you, and 99.9 percent of the people who walk this earth.

3. Earth itself.

I am so fucking pissed off at Barack Obama and his campaign for being complete and total WIMPS at responding to this nonsense. The incompetence is unbelievable.

The solution is simple--Put GWB around McCain like a 5 ton weight he can't go anywhere without.

WHY ARE THEY NOT DOING THAT? WHY!

We CANNOT afford to lose this election.  Especially on the count of yet another person who has no idea how to defend himself or the people who support him.  The people who NEED him to be something more, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Watching him DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EFFECTIVE is fucking TERRIBLE.

Sorry for all the caps for emphasis.

But it is.  Who is going to disagree with this?  We are doing fucking terrible right now, when we should be soaring.

Barack Obama is acting like such a fucking loser, and it's making me sick.

HE IS ACTING LIKE SOMEONE WHO LOSES THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION IN DECADES.

If him or anyone important from his campaign is reading this--please....

shape the fuck up.

Nothing like a strong opinion! ;~) (2.00 / 2)

I take you at your word, and I may be wrong in my opinion, but the difference imho is that he doesn't seem to be losing, and the course I think you are suggesting is exactly the opposite of why he isn't losing.

The instant counter to smearing the fuck out of McCain is "SEE!!  He isn't about Change, he's the same as us!!  he lies and smears just like we do!!"

I think that approach would lose voters faster than any other possible approach.

Barack Obama cannot personally attack McCain.  You can, and I can.

Still three months to go and the electoral map is All Goodness as much as can be hoped for at this point.  Direct your anger at John McCain and write/say/do something to bring him down or build Barack up.

I worry also (2.00 / 2)

Then I realize I don't run political campaigns.
I'm a bit worried also. I was also a bit worried when I had surgery, but I knew better than to try to instruct my surgeon.

It's possible that attacking back would be worse than not attacking. This isn't a Kerry year, and maybe the Kerry tactics would have won this year.

It's a rollercoaster ride, to be sure.

Re: I worry also (none / 0)

But then I realize that political campaigns aren't won in June, July or August.  They're usually won in September in October.  Funny how that works, huh.

Alex apparently isn't concerned, yet he posts no tip jar.  Oh dear, he certainly mustn't be a troll.

Complacency is our worst foe (none / 0)

I think it's good that some polls are showing us behind a little.  It will light a fire and make us work harder.  Look at the primaries... In the days after Clinton won Ohio, Pennsylvania, or the like, Obama's fundraising and volunteer efforts went up drastically.

I'd rather be behind in August than, say, October.

The pebbles have voted and the avalanche has begun.
